Gromit was our first Field Spaniel
and holds a special place in our
hearts. He easily finished his
championship at 16 months of age.
He is an enthusiastic and tireless
hunter and top performer in
agility. He was the first Field
Spaniel in history to qualify in the
AKC "excellent" agility ring, gaining
quite a fan club along the way as
"the Field Spaniel who runs like a
Border Collie!"
Unfortunately a leg injury while
playing with a young dog at home
placed him on the "disabled" list for
most of 2003. While he did make
a successful recovery and
qualified for more legs in the
Excellent ring in 2004, we decided
to "retire" him from agility, to focus
on our younger dogs and let
Gromit take a well deserved break
from competition.
Gromit is now enjoying being king
of the kennel and looking after the
pups he has sired.
